so i'm trying to crunch some numbers and figure out leveling speed and its correlation to lsi (obviously its positvely correlated duh, but how much so?)
so first of all I need to figure out how much xp is needed to level at every level.
unfortunately, the formula for this seems to be nonlinear unlike in CA

in CA, it went somehting like this
XP = 6.25+ 12.5 * LV

then to figure out leveling speed
STA = Total Stamina

ENE = Total Energy

HON=Total Honor/ level

Energy yield [Ey] = for example 1.4XP/EN

Stamina yield [Sy]= for example 3.0 XP/STA

Honor yield [Hy]= for example 1.5 XP/HON

LVL = Current Level

ΔT = Time to level up (days)

On a level up, you get an almost instant XP gain = XPo:

XPo = ENE * Ey + STA * Sy + HON * Hy

The rest you need to level up is a function of how much you can regenerate per day, i.e 319 ENE & 319 STA & 319 HON

In 1 day you get:

XPd = 319 * Ey + 319 * Sy +319 * Hy= [319 * (Ey + Sy +Hy)]

Now to level up you need about a total XP of:

XP = 6.25+ 12.5 * LVL (needs work, LOTS xp reqs seem to be non-linear)

So to work out the time required to LVL up you need to make those terms equal

6.25 + 12.5 * LVL = XPo + XPd * ΔT

Hence

ΔT = [6.25 + 12.5 * LVL – XPo] / XPd

With Ey = 1.4 & Sy = 3.0 & Hy=1.5 --->

XPd = 1882XP/day

so here is the data i have for xp vs level

I want to say that it depends on class... Difference is that big but it exists. Concerning XPd for example... Secondary... My math skills are rusty but I believe that Rafael might be able to help you with that (I gotta take those books and start relearning those stuff as this is.... well embarrassing)...

Easy thing to do is to start new game and lvl up a character for few days while recording exp needed for every lvl and build a chart based on that while recording incremental rise per lvl.

To count XPd you need to take those timers into account for example stamina... Mine's set @ 3:45 per 1s point... So... 3:45(s), 4:00(h), 4:45(e)

Et- Energy Timer, St(stamina), Ht(honor)... D (day)... All in seconds

Space Reaver gains 2116 XPd on average.
Hot Shot gains 1986 XPd
Space Farer gains 2013

According to your Ey, Sy, Hy.

Concerning time needed to lvl for Space Reaver we can use classes XPd and divide it by 24 to get fairly accurate time needed to lvl... So for example if you need 1k XP to lvl you will have to wait 11.35h to lvl (which is 11h 21m) as you gain 88.1 exp to lvl.

Those *.XX are also easy to calculate... Just go 0.6(1%) * .XX.. For example 0.6 * 35 = 21.

So... To calculate time needed to lvl a lot easer... Deducted from "stuff" above you should use this (for Space Reaver)

XPl(exp needed to lvl)

XPl * 0.681 = Mins to lvl (Space Reaver)
Xpl * 0.716 = Mins to lvl (Space Farer)
Xpl * 0.72 = Mins to lvl (Hot Shot)

Then just divide it by 60 and follow formula I described above this.

From what I've seen, the TOTAL XP needed to reach level N is 7NČ - 21N - 241.
Except for lower levels (which either use a different formula or have the XP requirement hard coded), and maybe (probably) high levels that I haven't reached yet. This certainly works until level 251 (which is my current level+1), and probably works until 500 or so.

The total amount of XP needed to advance from level N to N+1 (which is what you want) would be 14(N-1). So it's higher than the 6.25+12.5N from CA, but still linear.

Also, I don't play CA, but that formula seems strange... it yields non-integer values for all values of N, that doesn't make sense to me...

The CA formula is actually really simple. It alternates between 11 and 14. Example: lvl 51>52= 11 more exp needed. lvl 52>53= 14 more exp needed. That's why the average is 12.5 more exp needed per lvl.

Frankly... @ Axej... I sometimes have to convince myself that you posts are actually worth reading. As of all that mess. How about next time you increase that line spacing by five rows?

Where do you get these values?

For instance a naive average of Assault on the Zenith: Zenith (2) Nightmare gives me an average of 1.508748196 XP per energy.
Also assuming that LA & PoE lead to double XP ~5% of the time, I get an average of 3.17625 XP per Stamina ( or 1.588125 per skill point), and 1.575 per Honor.

21-100 gives an average of 60.5. Factoring a 5% chance to doubles gives 63.525. Dividing that by 20 gives 3.17625 per stamina point, dividing by 40 gives 1.588125 per skill point

Some easy questions:
(1) What are the starting Energy & Stamina Values?
(2) What are the energy/stamina/honor timers @ level 500?
(3) What are the energy/stamina/honor timers @ level 1000?
(4) Are there any timer changes after level 1000?

(1) 10 Energy and 3 stamina.
(2) Depends on the class - but each class is 15s lower than the ones at level 100.
(3) 3m45 for both energy and stamina, supposing it is like DotD before the reduced timers (because so far only cheaters have gone past that).
(4) I guess not... but of course no one can know with absolute certainty.
